Technology, responsibility and tradition – that’s what we stand for in Dargun
EcoNautic Systems GmbH is a modern manufacturing company with a long history. Our headquarters are located in the heart of Mecklenburg Switzerland, yet our products are used all over the world. As a reliable supplier to industry, mechanical engineering, and automotive technology, we combine machining, welding technology, toolmaking, and precision manufacturing under one roof.
We specialize in sophisticated materials, complex components, and customized solutions. What sets us apart? Technical expertise, a high level of quality—and a team that thinks ahead.
Our expertise – precise. resilient. tailor-made.
Our daily work revolves around precisely manufactured components, assemblies, and weldments. Many of these are used in systems where reliability and dimensional accuracy are critical—such as turbochargers, airbags, or gas turbines.
What we can do:
- Machining technology at the highest level – with 52 modern CNC-controlled machine tools
- Modern programming system CAM
- Conventional production for individual parts and small series
- Welding and assembly of complex assemblies according to customer specifications
- Independent tool and fixture construction for optimal process design
- Processing of high-temperature-resistant alloys and wear-resistant materials
Thanks to our broad team and our high level of vertical integration, we are able to produce products entirely in-house, from raw materials to final testing. This means greater control, more flexibility, and higher quality for our customers.
Location with structure – our operating area
Our company premises in Dargun offer 32,000 m² of operational space, 6,500 m² of which are built-up. The structure of our buildings follows the principle of short distances, clear responsibilities, and efficient processes. Our five halls house:
- Production areas for turning, milling and grinding processes
- Welding and assembly workplaces
- air-conditioned precision measuring rooms
- Fixture and tool construction
- Logistics and storage space
- Administrative and QM offices
In this way, we create ideal conditions for high-performance, structured and sustainable production.
Our history – rooted in the region, grown with experience
Our company's history began in 1943 – as a small craft business in Dargun. Just a few years later, our activities expanded to include everything from the maintenance of agricultural equipment to the production of spare parts and small appliances.
In 1966, the company began specializing in transmission and drivetrain components. During the GDR era, the company – then known as VEB Maschinenbau Dargun – was an important supplier for vehicle manufacturers, including the Trabant and Wartburg. With approximately 300,000 axle drives per year, Dargun was a central production location.
After German reunification, the company was initially renamed DAGEZA GmbH and finally acquired by two Danish entrepreneurs in 1994. Many of the employees from that time are still with us today—a sign of solidarity and increased expertise.
The name “EcoNautic” today marks a new era: modern, powerful, international – yet with strong regional roots.
Our vision – sustainable, responsible, future-oriented
We see ourselves not only as manufacturers, but also as thinkers and enablers. Our processes are guided by a modern management system in accordance with the standards DIN EN ISO 9001, DIN EN 9100, IATF 16949, and DIN EN 16247-1. Quality, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement naturally go hand in hand for us.
What is particularly important to us:
- Maintaining and passing on knowledge: through training, further education and independent work
- Understanding customer needs: and developing viable, economical solutions
- Be open to change: and actively work on process optimization
We don't just want to deliver products, we want to create real added value. For our customers – and for an industrial future that combines responsibility with innovation.
